On November 25th, Lorenz Kellhuber will be performing both solo and with his trio at Elbphilharmonie’s “Kleiner Saal”!
In celebration of his 30th birthday this year, the programme of this evening ranges from his early education in classical piano to free improvisation which in recent years developed as pivotal element of his artistry. Since the release of their trio album “Samadhi” at the end of last year, Lorenz Kellhuber and his congenial partners Felix Henkelhausen (Bass) and Moritz Baumgärtner (drums) take the term quite literally and celebrate the merger of three musical souls at the highest stage. With their sometimes meditative, sometimes explosive improvisations, they evolve an enormous density and communication which create an almost magical atmosphere and sometimes even put their audience into a trance.
