Blackbird Music is a Berlin-based music label, publishing company and booking agency for jazz, blues & rock artists, singer/songwriter and pop music acts. Representing newcomers and musicians of international reputation since the late 80s, Blackbird Music has always been a home for carefully selected, honest music and audiophile productions.

Blackbird Music’s managing director is Andreas Hommelsheim : musician, composer and producer. He has also been working successfully in the dubbing business for over 25 years. As musical director he is responsible for countless synchronizations of well-known film productions such as The Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, The Phantom of the Opera, Charlie And The Chocolate Factory,Ice Age 4, Inside Llewyn Davis and many more. Hommelsheim worked with Ennio Morricone, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Hans Zimmer and received a gold disc as the producer of the original German soundtrack ofThe Lion King. After having built several dubbing studios, he is now focussing on his real passion again, music.

In 2013 Blackbird Music opened the doors of the Blackbird Music Studio that is absolutely unique with its wide range of services. It features, for example, the possibility to play and record studio concerts or showcases.
